Why should I consider refinishing rather than replacement?
First of all, to replace something you must first tear out the old items. When considering the cost of replacement you must consider cost of items, labour for installation, not to mention the mess and time it will take to complete. For example, normal costs for renovating a bathroom ranges from $5,000 to $10,000 and can take anything up to a month to finish. Resurfacing takes less than one - two days. Replacing an average kitchen can cost upwards of $10,000, resurfacing takes 3 - 5 days and will save you at least 70% versus replacing.

What bathroom and kitchen surfaces can be refinished?
The EP-Acrylic resurfacing system works beautifully on bathtubs, shower bases, vanity units, wall/kitchen tiles, bench tops /cabinets, and specialising in clawfoot bathtubs.

How are the coatings applied?
These coating are two part coatings, base and catalyst and are best applied using a HVLP (high velocity-low pressure) spray equipment.

Will my refinished surface look painted?
Definitely not, you probably will not be able to tell the difference. Refinishing will make that old chipped, stained, or colour-dated item look "new" again.

How long will it take?
One of the key benefits of resurfacing is that it can usually be completed in less than one day. Because Ep-Acrylic is ambient cured it means your fittings can be use 24 hours after completion of work.

How do I clean and maintain my refinished fixture?
We recommend a dishwashing detergent or Miracle Cleaner, a specially designed cleaner made for the refinished fixtures. This strong but non-abrasive cleaner will safely keep your fixture clean without dulling the gloss like abrasive cleaners will do.

What if my bathtub or counter top is damaged?
Small chips and cracks will be repaired during the cleaning and preparation stage of resurfacing. Your technician will inform you if the chip or cracks cannot be repaired prior to resurfacing your fixture.

How long will it last?
Our bathroom fixtures are guaranteed for 5 years, kitchen fixtures are guaranteed for 12 months. With proper maintenance and care the resurfaced area will easily last 10 to 15 years. Again, we recommend using Miracle Cleaner or dishwashing detergents for maintaining your refinished surface. We advise to polish the area with polymer car polish every 6 months, this will keep the fixture in perfect condition and prevent a build up of grime.

Is it safe?
Most definitely. TOC Restorations use only coatings that are Isocyanate free making it safe for both applicator and customer.

How durable is it?
The refinishing coatings used by TOC Restorations are incredibly durable. Our coatings are designed for their intended use. However, just like a brand new surface, a refinished surface can be chipped or cracked if it is abused.

What if the surface is damaged?
Small chips and cracks can usually be repaired during the preparation stage of the refinishing process. Often if it is just a single chip we can fill and refinish just the damaged area. With careful matching the repaired chip will be practically invisible.

How long will it take?
A bathtub or bench top can be completed in just 4 - 5 hours. A full bathroom can normally be completed in 1 to 1 ½ days. A full kitchen job will take 2 - 3 days.

Will the process cause me inconvenience?
Very little. In fact, when compared to the inconvenience of tearing our plumbing, ripping up floors and demolishing walls the inconvenience is almost negligible.

Do you offer a guarantee?
TOC Restorations offer a five year guarantee against peeling or failure of adhesion for bathtubs, vanity basins and wall tiles. Sinks, bench tops, cabinets, floor tiles and chip repairs are guaranteed for a period of one year.
